NEW CALENDAR CHANGE:  I’ve decided to make some changes to the calendar so that it is easier and quicker to produce and focuses more on my original intent, which was to provide my dancing friends, my partner and myself with a list of dancing opportunities that we are most likely to use.  As a consequence, this and future go4dancer dance calendars will be slimmer and more focused than those of the recent past.

What this means is that venues where I’ve never gone dancing and am unlikely to go dancing in the future will disappear.  I prefer to dance to live bands but will include some venues with DJ’s where the focus is on dancing. I am also going to quit including band websites in the calendars.  I may try to do something with bands and their websites as a separate page on the www.go4dancer.com website.  I’m also going to drop venues that are outside of the Twin Cities unless it has a special interest to me for whatever reason.  Even so this calendar lists 450 opportunities for you to dance.

NEW MAILING LIST CHANGE: One last change – I am not going to accept any more additions to my email lists.  Anyone interested in seeing the calendars can see and use the online version at www.go4dancer.com.  I plan to continue sending out the email versions for a while to those currently on the lists but no more additions.

NOTE: Things change.  Venues change their minds.  Bands sometimes get double-booked.  And I do make mistakes, much as I hate to admit it.  These calendars contain the most current information that I have at the time it is published.  If you intend to spend a lot of time or money or effort to get to a dance listed here, I strongly urge you to check with the venue before you go to make sure the band/event is still scheduled.  Where available, I try to provide both website addresses and phone numbers for your use.
